This course is intended to teach students the basics of photography-related matters. Every day ensues with basic issues that are built with a combination of theory and practice to ensure that the student gains both knowledge as well as practical skill. Understand the history of photography and its evolution through the decades. Learn the technological milestones and the technique developments that created this field of photography.

Knowing Different Types of Photography
Learn about the different types of photography such as portraits, lands, streets, and many others. You will learn the characteristics of each genre and when and where to use them

Lenses, Accessories, and Camera Fundamentals
Camera equipment introduction, DSLR and mirrorless, lenses types wide, prime, and zoom, tripods, filters, etc.

Factor and Principles of Photography
What makes a good photo. Exposure, focus and depth of field. Understand core principles such as the rule of thirds, leading lines, and framing.

Modes of Photography
Familiarize yourself with the various modes your camera has, for example, Auto, Manual, Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority and how to choose the right mode for the occasion

Camera Settings
Review your camera’s settings thoroughly: ISO, shutter speed, and aperture. Learn how these elements interact with each other in the delivery of exposure, sharpness, and lighting in the image

How to Hold and Use the Camera Like a Pro

Final Project (Submission)
Completion of the course. Students are asked to submit a small photography project, 3-5 photographs, with a few sentences describing how they applied the knowledge during the course.
