Instagram is a photo- and video-sharing platform on the internet. Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, the app’s cofounders, introduced it in 2010, and Meta Platforms, Inc., Facebook’s parent company, now owns it. The Instagram service is rather simple. It emphasises posts with pictures and/or quick videos. These postings are located on a user’s profile and can either be seen by everyone on Instagram or just the user’s followers. The user’s permanent feed or their “Stories,” a separate part where content is kept for a longer period of time, are the two primary publishing options.
